You can fly, drive or take the train to Umbria.

Flying is easiest, cheapest and quickest. Ryanair flies from London Stansted to Perugia (40 mins from the house), Easyjet flies from Bristol to Rome (2 ¼ hrs) and from Stansted and Heathrow to Perugia in the summer months. There are also airports at Pisa (2 ½ hrs ), Florence, Ancona and Bologna, (all 2 hours) by car.

Below are some suggestions as to some easy ways to arrive at the house:

• Via Stansted to Perugia: Stay night in Radisson Hotel and leave car. Once in Perugia it is only a 30-minute drive to the house (Calzolaro).
• Via Rome: Stay night at Hotel Giuliana (+39 064880795).  From Rome it is a 2 ½ hrs drive to Casa Duchi.
• Via Pisa or Ancona: Hire a car and you should get to Casa Duchi in about 2 ½ hrs.

If you would rather drive, and take in the beautiful countryside, Calais to Casa Duchi is about 900 miles, and we will gladly advise you of our preferred route.
